LITTLE ORANGE DRESS...

DRESS: Tularosa

Good morning everyone! I got this dress in this month and it's not something I'd usually wear but I'm glad I ordered it because it's so pretty and flattering. I thought the ruffle details were going to be a little much but it lays flat on the dress so it's not overwhelming at all. Smock dresses and tops are popular this summer and I feel that this one hugs your body in all the right places. Now all I need is to do is plan a date with my hubby and throw this little number on.

We've been in Houston this week and will be here for the next week or so. We're wanting to go somewhere for 4th of July but we aren't sure where. We might go to San Antonio to take a mini vacation. Any recommendations inside of Texas?

CREATING FAMILY MOMENTS THIS SUMMER WITH STAGE...

A couple of weeks ago, our family took our first summer vacation to Disneyworld. Liam and Chloe have been on trips with me before but never with Tommy. Tommy isn’t able to travel much because of his work schedule so we were all thankful that he was able to be there with us.

One of my favorite parts about taking summer vacations is prepping and shopping for new outfits for my family. We all stopped by our local Stage store in Houston before heading out to pick out outfits for Disney. It’s so easy for us to shop at Stage stores because they offer a huge variety of clothing, shoes, and accessories for the entire family. I picked up a couple of summer outfits and this backpack to store all of our food and necessities for when we were at the parks.

We also got an Instax camera to capture family moments during our trip. You can also get frames, film refills, and a case from Stage too! I’m horrible about printing out images, I probably have over 20,000 photos that are on my hard drive that have never been printed out. One of my most cherished photo albums is from Liam’s 1st birthday party. During Liam’s birthday party, I had each guest take a photo with Liam, glue it to a blank paged book, and then write a few words. The photos are immediately printed out and that’s what I love most about Instax cameras.

Tommy and Liam were the most excited about our Instax camera. Tommy was taking photos every hour and Liam took pictures of his toys and sister. It was the cutest thing. Liam takes after me a lot and it was adorable watching him get excited about taking photos and then seeing them come to life. Most of the images we have from the trip were taken on the Instax camera. When we got home, our family went through the pictures and relived those moments.

Summer passes by quickly and I want to take in every moment with my family. This trip to Disneyworld was by far my most cherished and memorable trip. From the very beginning, Tommy and I told ourselves that this trip would be fun and relaxing. We wouldn’t be on a set agenda and we wouldn’t try to get a billion things done each day. We both knew that traveling with two children in a 100-degree climate would have its obstacles, so we took it slow. We went to Disney everyday but only spent 4-6 hours there. We weren’t trying to ride every ride and eat every snack. Our family rode 2-4 rides per day and we were completely content and happy with it. We would go home around 3pm to take a nap, spend an hour or two at the pool, and then grab dinner.

Family vacations are supposed to be a fun and exciting time, but it can also be stressful and overwhelming. This is mine and Tommy’s first family trip that wasn’t stressful and overwhelming and I firmly believe it was because we took it slow. We weren’t worried about doing everything or sticking to an agenda. When our children needed a break, we’d go home because we know that they can only handle so much. We made the most out of our down time and it’s was some of my favorite moments. We have a couple of pictures in bed in our pajamas and they’re now on our fridge. It was also one of my first trips where I wasn’t constantly on my phone trying to capture every moment. I was able to experience so much more with my family.

Our family has always gone to Disney for family vacations, but we’re thinking we need to branch out a bit more. What are some your favorite spots to spend your summers?

REVOLVE ITEMS UNDER $100...

I'm so excited for today's post but it was highly requested by yall. Revolve is one of my favorite online shops ever. I know in the past, I've shared outfits from their site that were over $100 but Revolve does carry TONS of pieces that are under $100. Before, I shopped at Revolve, I remember thinking that their site only carried super expensive pieces. I did some search and found that they have a huge variety of clothes and accessories for under $100. I rounded up all of these cute pieces and they're all affordable in my opinion. I love this haul because some of these pieces aren't items I'd typically wear. I'm so glad I branched out because there now some of my favorite. I linked a lot of other options below!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

CELEBRATING OUR "FIRST" ANNIVERSARY WITH PAPYRUS...

This post has been sponsored by PAPYRUS® Recycled Paper Greetings. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Our marriage anniversary is special to us this year because it's the first year that we've been able to celebrate together. Tommy has been deployed every other year and during the summer, he's usually out for training or working long shifts. We have been married for four years and are finally able to be in the same room. When it comes to gifts, we don't typically ask for perfume, cologne, clothes, etc. Tommy and I have been writing to each other for years and have found that it has helped us express our feeling towards one other more in depth. I remember looking forward to checking the mail, hoping to find a handwritten letter or card with a sentimental gift. Call it old fashioned, but I'd much rather read a kind and heartfelt card than a long text message.

For years, we have both given each other and our family members cards and small gifts from Papyrus. I love that PAPYRUS Greeting Cards help me find the right words that express my love and appreciation for my husband. The designs of PAPYRUS Greeting Cards are beautiful, one of a kind, and there's a card for everyone for every occasion. We both picked out cards for each other at our local Randalls. Shopping for PAPYRUS Gretting Cards at Randalls makes it easy for us because we can purchase any additional gifts like flowers, frames, or sweets. There is a great selection and they carry cards for multiple occasions. Tommy and I both have a huge stack of letters and cards that's about 10 incase thick. I've found that our PAPYRUS Greeting Cards have held up the longest. We've moved a handful of times and have reread our cards often and still find our cards to look brand new. Their cards are premium, so the designs and words don't fade easily.

We haven't really decided what we wanted to do this year to celebrate. I love dressing up for special occasions and having a night out. There's a lot of excitement in slipping on a pretty eyelet white dress for summer. Tommy and I are rarely alone because we have wonderful children. For us, the perfect way to spend our anniversary would be to have a staycation at one of our favorite resorts, have dinner, and walk around the town. We did it before in Woodlands, TX and we found that we were able to reconnect as a couple. Either way, as long as we're in the same room on this special day, it'll be perfect.

Thank you so much for reading!

CHLOE'S LATEST MILESTONES...

Chloe- DRESS: Zara // SHOES: Freshly Picked // DRESS: Chicwish

I can't believe my little girl is about to hit double digit months. Chloe grew way too fast and it's hard to think that she may be my very last baby. These past 9 months started out rough because of all the adjustments and becoming a mother of two. After Chloe turned 6 months, it became a little easier. Chloe is still very much a mama's girl but is growing and learning things everyday. These post are more for myself so I can look back and read about her journey and accomplishments. If you're not interested, which I completely understand, feel free to read the next post. With that said, here are some of Chloe's accomplishments and milestones up to 9 months.

6 months: Sitting on her own and eating everything in sight. Chloe's favorite words are Cha, Mama, and Dada. She loves being held and fed. She can't ride in the car without her blankie.
7 months: On all fours and learning to crawl. Chloe was pretty much rolling at this point. Chloe manages to push her self backwards when she's meaning to go forward. She can get on her knees and ask to be picked up
8 months: Chloe is officially crawling and ALL OVER THE PLACE. She also loves pulling her self up on tables and playing with toys. Chloe isn't a big fan of baby food or tart fruits. She loves Chobani's SMORE'S yogurt. Chloe began to really hate baths and open bodies of water.
9 months: Chloe is standing on her own for a few seconds and crawls way too fast. She's fighting me on going to bed and only eats food that I'm eating. Chloe choose Tommy over me sometimes but will always want me when she's needing comfort. She's learning to be comfortable with water/swimming.
