Our family is growing!! We're expecting our second baby in August and we feel incredibly happy for this huge blessing. Liam is going to be a big brother and we know he's going to be so loving towards the baby and do an amazing job as big brother.

We've been waiting anxioulsy to share the news with everyone but wanted to wait until the first trimester was over. I'm about 13 weeks now and the first three months have not been easy. With Liam, we were expecting it, preparing for it, and I was physically ready for it. The first few weeks were rough. I was exhausted all the time and basically living in bed. With that said, this little baby has been an incredible surprise. It's completely true when they say "there is no right time to have a baby". Tommy and I actually had plans to start trying to have another baby this May because the baby will be born after Tommy returns from Korea. Tommy won't be retuning until 2019 but he has plans to fly back home for a few weeks to be there for the birth of our baby. Either way, we wouldn't change anything and are anxiously waiting for this little one to be born. Tommy and I are already talking about our family of four on a daily basis. We have a name picked out and are 99% set on it. We couldn't be happier for our newest addition!

I'm going to write this post in a Q&A form to talk about my first trimester.

When/How did you find out?

I found out three days before Christmas. Tommy and Liam had already flown out to Texas so I was by myself. I was a few days late (which never happens) so I decided to take a pregnancy test. I went to the doctors the following day to have it confirmed.

How did you feel? How did your family feel?

I was excited and scared at the same time. This pregnancy was NOT planned. What scared me the most was that Tommy wasn't going to be in the same state for the pregnancy or the first 5 months of the baby's life. Tommy felt more worried than anything at first because he was really feeling down about those exact same things. After talking about it more, we planned two trips this year to see each other. Tommy's family was a lot more ecstatic about it than mine, lol. For some reason they saw it coming. My family was very happy (especially when they found out what the gender was) but had the same concerns about Tommy not being there for the first few months as well. My family is now is all crazy about me being careful (which I understand). My grandparents will literally tell me not to walk downstairs in case I trip and that I should basically be in bed all day, lol.

Were you nauseous or feeling sick?

For Liam, everything was a breeze up until 7 months. For this one, I've been feeling tired, lazy, and a little nauseous. It really surprised me that I felt like this. I was at home for weeks doing absolutely nothing. I tried going to the gym several times but because I was use to taking pre-workout, getting off of it was tough. Starbucks coffee was also religious to me for the past 6 months. Quitting all caffeine cold turkey hit me hard. I felt back to my normal self around 11 weeks and now it's finally a breeze.

What is your diet?

I can't say that I've changed my diet up at all. I avoid all the foods and drinks my doctor recommends, but besides that, all I can say is that I eat more greens and soup. Oh, I've also been eating an excessive amount of candy but I plan on stopping that soon.

What was your daily routine?

When I found out, we had so much traveling going on so I didn't have a routine. Tommy left a few days ago so after I settle in at my grandparents home, I'm going to plan a routine. It'll pretty much look like what it was when I was a stay at home mom. I'll incorporate more study time for myself and more play time for Liam since he's older.

When do you find out the gender?

We actually decided to take the NIPT genetic testing as soon as we got to Houston. I got the testing done at 11.5 weeks. I heard you could get it done at 10 weeks. If we didn't take this tests, we were looking to find out at my 20 week ultrasound. We were dying to find out the gender asap, especially before Tommy left. We found out the day before Tommy left and had our own little family reveal.

Are you excited about having two children?

Yes! We know it's going to be ALOT of work. We're excited to give Liam a sibling he can take care of/play with. I'm trying to prepare mentally but I don't think I'll know what I'm doing until he/she is here.

If yall have any other questions, please feel free to email or dm me!

Thank you so much for reading!

TOP: Chicwish // BOTTOM: AG // SHOES: Marc Fisher // Liam- TOP: Old Navy // JEANS: Old Navy // SHOES: Freshly Picked

Besides Christmas and Thanksgiving, it's very rare to have our entire family together on holidays. With Tommy's job, he lucks out and is typically gone on holidays like Halloween, 4th of July, and even some birthdays. Valentines though, is one that we're able to celebrate together this year. Tommy and I have always been big on celebrating Valentines Day since we've been dating because it's such a loving and sweet day to cherish each other. (Also, another excuse to buy gifts and eat chocolate).

We've especially love sharing our fond of this day with Liam. We usually go to Target and have a huge shopping spree. The dollar section at Target has the cutest Valentines gifts for toddlers/children. Liam is at that age where he knows exactly what he wants and how to get it. He will cuddle up with me and say "Mommy???.....please candy?". He says it in the sweetest way that it's hard to say no to. When I do say no, he runs up to his Dad and begins to ask him instead, lol.

The past two years we've been celebrating at home with Liam, but this year is different. Tommy and I are taking the night out to go to Fogo De Chao for the first time and see a movie. It's very rare for us now to go on dates alone (which is something we plan on getting better at). We're extremely busy and work focused during the week so the weekends is really the only time that we get to spend real family  time together. I'm really excited and anxious about our date, even though we've been together for about 5 years!

Liam has Valentines day the first half and then it's Mom and Dad time. What are everyone's plans for Valentines/Galentines Day?

PONCHO: Chicwish // DRESS: Leith (such a staple!) // SHOES: Vince Camuto // BAG: Gucci

Happy Friday! Sorry, for the late afternoon post. I thought I clicked publish last night and then checked earlier to see that nothing had saved. We finally got to Houston last night and I couldn't be happier. Tommy and I drove two separate cars so the drive was a lot harder than usual. We stopped in Amarillo the first night. As soon as we got there, Tommy just had to stop at Whataburger. If you haven't been to Whataburger, you definitely need to go. It's like the In and Out of Texas (in my opinion). We drove the rest in the morning and thankfully, we didn't hit any traffic. I've been listening to these "murder" Sword and Scale podcast on my phone that my friend introduce me to and it made time fly by. If you're into horror and all that, I highly suggest trying it out.

Leaving Colorado was bittersweet. Colorado was our first home as a family. We have created tons of memories together that we couldn't have created anywhere else. It was where Liam and I saw our first huge snowfall, had our first Christmas, our first Thanksgiving, and really the first place to call our own. We're going to miss Colorado very much, but at the same time, I know that Tommy and I are both ready for the next chapter of our lives. Tommy will be in Korea for the next year and I'll be going back to school. Liam and I will be staying with my mom during this time. My family is extremely supportive and I know there help will make all the difference in the world. We're a little too familiar with the long distance relationship thing so we're both prepared for what's to come. We have a little over a week together and we're going to soak up every last minute.

Oh and about this outfit, of course. I've been wearing this poncho A LOT lately. I really love the fringe detail and how it just feels like a cozy blanket. I threw it over one of my favorite staple dresses for a quick and cute ready to go OOTD. I wore this outfit to grab lunch with my friend Jenna before I left for Texas and the poncho definitely helps cover my food baby, lol.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

BLUE: Leith // SHOES: AG // SHOES: Vince Camuto // BAG: Louis Vuitton

Hi everyone! I'm officially back and couldn't be more excited. My break was probably about a month long and much needed. So much has happened lately that I knew it would be best to focus on other things. I'm not sure if I told everyone yet, but my husband is deploying to Korea for an entire year. He is planing on leaving this month. That alone has made me want to give all my time and energy to my family because we will be separated for the next year. We've also been packing for the past month and  that alone is stressful. Liam and I will be moving back to Texas with my family. We're leaving next week so that Tommy can spend time with our families before flying out. We've also had tons of other factors that have kept us busy but Tommy leaving is really the biggest reason why I felt that it would be right to take a break from my blog. With that said, I'm very very happy to be back with all of yall! I have a few winter looks to share with everyone but expect some spring outfits to be on the blog very soon.

Thank you so much for reading!
