DRESS: Free People (love this one) // SHOES: Target // BAG: Henri Bendel (old, similar here)// NECKLACE: Kendra Scott

If yall didn't already know, velvet is back and I for one love it. I was born in the 90's when velvet was super popular but I don't remember wearing it so I thought I'd try the trend out. What I've noticed about velvet, is that the material itself, gives an elevated look. Which is perfect for all the holidays coming up. Red velvet just screams Christmas! I gravitate towards simple and basic velvet pieces because I was testing it out. This shift dress is really so simple but has that flare with the back detailing. I styled it with black booties for that dark halloween look. I also wore it with some nude pumps for a more classic look.

Can yall believe that there's only 1 more day until Halloween?! Did yall do anything fun for halloween this past weekend? I went downtown with my friends for the first time in over 2 years and it was so much fun. I'm definitely way too old to go out often so it might just be an every other year thing, lol. Plus, I'm that mom that's overly attached to her baby.

Thank you much for stopping by!

DRESS: Nordstrom (under $60) // SHOES: Sam Edelman // SCARF: Charming Charlie (similar here) // BAG: Gucci (great dupe here) // EARRINGS: Kendra Scott

You know that moment when you finally find THE dress that goes with everything in your fall wardrobe?! I swear, this dress really does go with everything! It's like finding that white tunic you can pair with all of your scarves, cardigans, jackets, and shoes. This dress comes in 6 colors and there's also a short sleeve version. I'm sharing two looks today and I can't decide which one is my favorite.

Body con dresses are not what I tend to gravitate towards but this one is extremely flattering. The ruching detail really conceals any part of your stomach area that makes a typical body con dresses intimidating. The length is also longer than most dresses, so it's very appropriate for daily wear. It's no secret that neutrals are tones that I wear most often. I loved styling it with my caramel knee high boots for contrast. I threw this plaid scarf on to tie all the colors together. With this specific outfit, you could really wear any knee high boots you own (regardless of color) with your favorite blanket scarf.

DRESS: Nordstrom // SHOES: Target // DUSTER: BP // BAG: Henri Bendel (old, similar here) // EARRINGS: Kendra Scott // SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker

I grabbed this duster (under $50) to throw over my dress for a more dressed up style. Tie bow cuffs are one of the most popular trends right now and I love that the duster has that feminine detail. The tones for this outfit are a lot darker than the first. There's also a more professional feel to it. I'd definitely wear this to any meetings that I have in the future.

When I first bought these booties, it was something that I didn't tend on wearing often. I went to target and saw them for about $40? Which is 60% less than the Steve Madden ones I saw at Nordstrom. They're seriously IDENTICAL to each other! The heel is about 3 1/2 so it's a little steep but it's a great deal if you don't want to spend $100. I've actually worn it more than I thought and love how it really dresses an outfit up versus wearing open toed booties.

If yall have this dress, I would love to see how you styled it! Let me know if yall would like to see this dress styled more ways.

Thank you so much for reading!

TOP: Free People // BOTTOMS: AG // SHOES: Sam Edelman // BAG: Gucci // Liam- TOP: Zara // BOTTOMS: Zara // JACKET: Nordstrom (similar here) // SHOES: Adidas

Happy Monday! I’m back from Houston and already counting down the days until I’m back this weekend. Last weekend was my first time flying/traveling without Liam. The longest I’ve ever been away from him was probably one whole day; it was extremely difficult going 3 days without him. Liam was originally going to go with me because Tommy had plans to leave for training last week but it got pushed to this week. It made a lot more sense for Tommy and Liam to have a father/son weekend than to bring Liam with me to Houston. From what Tommy sent me, they had a blast. They did some pumpkin carving, went to Toys R’ Us, then went Trick or Treating at the zoo. Tommy told me that Liam was running around like he had ate his entire bucket of candy (he only had two pieces). Liam was overjoyed that everything kept calling him Buzz Lightyear. Liam wears his costume at least twice a week around the house, lol.

I was in Houston for a Create and Cultivate conference and it was so inspiring. I’ve never been, and had been dying to go for a long time. It’s a place where bloggers, brands, and influencers get together to learn how to create creative content, build a brand, and all things related to blogging. Sophia Bush was actually a guest speaker and I had a One Tree Hill fan moment when she walked on stage.

Anyways, I thought I'd share this mom and mini matching outfit today. Tommy and I both love coordinating outfits with Liam. I know.... we're those parents, lol. Tommy and Liam usually match from head to toe; same shoes, shirt, pants...EVERYTHING. I like to pull similar colors and textures when creating our outfits. His jean jacket matched my jeans and then the color of his pants coordinated with my shoes. I might as well match with my little boy while I can.

TOP: Free People (on super sale!!) // PANTS: AG // SHOES: Vince Camuto // BAG: Gucci

A classic fall (and winter) outfit that never gets old is pretty easy to put together. It consist of your favorite jeans, comfy booties, and an oversized sweater. I snagged this sweater in the white version last week because it was on MAJOR sale! It's currently only $60 and it's steal. The sweater is thick, cozy, and the quality is perfect. It's also long enough to wear with leggings as well!

Thanks for stopping by!

CAMI: Topshop (major sale) // JACKET: Blank NYC // SKIRT: Free People  // SHOES: Vince Camuto // BAG: Gucci // OUTFIT 2: TOP: Free People // SKIRT: Free People // SHOES: Sam Edelman //

Mini skirt seem to be extremely popular this season compared to other years. The skirt silhouette is feminine, but at the same it can be styled numerous ways.

Currently, my favorite way to style a mini skirt, is with a pair of knee high boots and a thin sweater (second look). The look is overall really sleek and the shoes add warmth (you can skip out on the uncomfortable tights that never seem to actually keep you warm). If you have a neutral colored skirt, find something that is similar in tone. Everything this season seems to be more monochromatic and a neutral monochromic outfit is easy to put together and trendy. With a statement skirt, styling it with a simple and pretty crop sweater make your outfit really chic and trendy.

The most classic way to style a mini skirt, I think, is with a white cami and a pair of your favorite booties. It's basically what you also wear with your cardigan and jeans. I threw my moto jacket over it to finish the simple but stylish look.
