I'm not sure where to start for today's post. All I can think about the past few days is all of the disaster happening in Houston right now. When my friend first told me about the hurricane, I thought nothing of it. "Houston always floods, it's not a big deal" were my words exactly. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that it would be this bad.

My family's house hasn't flooded (thank God!) but my sister said that they're expecting heavy rainfall for a few more days. My Aunt's roof is about to cave in from all the rain but she isn't worried about it too much because yesterday was her birthday. My family is probably the craziest, most positive people I know. They were still having family parties and gatherings during all the chaos. My Mother in law isn't as fortunate, her house flooded on the very first day and she told me that it was up to two feet of water! She made it out okay but she's basically homeless until the water clears. She purchased her home less than a year ago. All I can do is hope and pray that everyone stays safe and together. I feel helpless that I'm unable to be there for my family and friends. Watching other Texans help out one another is what makes this state amazing. The entire community is risking their lives to save one another and that's all you can ask for.

Please continue to pray for the people of Texas. If yall are able to make any donations please make them out to FEMA, they were extremely helpful my family years ago during hurricane Ike. I'll be sure to keep yall updated on any news I hear from my family.

DRESS: Nordstrom (similar here) // JACKET: Blank NYC // SHOES: TOMS // BAG: Gucci // Liam- TOP: Ralph Lauren // SHORTS: Zara // SHOES: Freshly Picked

Hello!!!! It's been so long since I've written a blog post. Liam and I went back to Houston about two weeks ago to visit family and it reminded me how much I missed my family. I was so busy the first two days to even check my phone so I decided to take a break. With everything going on with work, family, and life, it was much needed. We celebrated my grandpa's birthday and my ENTIRE family got together. Everyone was telling me how fast Liam has grown and asked when I was moving back, lol. I do have to say that Liam and I struggled with the weather. It was insanely hot and humid!! I'm definitely not looking forward to that next time I visit.

With that being said, I'm so happy to be back with yall! There will be tons of fall outfits to come! Also, how cute are these pictures of Liam's 2nd birthday?

TOP: Chicwish (love this one too!) // BOTTOMS: Articles of Society (similar here) // SHOES: Sole Society // BAG: Gucci // Liam- TOP: Ralph Lauren // BOTTOMS: Zara // SHOES: Freshly Picked

Happy Monday! I'm actually excited to get this week started because in a few short days I'll be back in Houston!! Everyone always ask me why I go back to Texas often and it's because I miss my family, friends, and the amazing food. My entire family are all really close and I miss them after a few days. It's also because I get anxiety being away from a big city for long periods of time. I know, it sounds ridiculous. Liam and I are going for about 5 days and every single day is planned to the max. I can't wait to get some real summer time before fall hits.

I wore this outfit during Liam's birthday weekend last month and love this top! I'm all for flowy tunics and this one is so pretty and pink! I'm obsessed with the colors, prints, and how it's oversized without making you look fat, lol. I actually wore this top yesterday with blue jeans and my Marc Fisher wedges that I've worn to death. I have my eye on this tunic as well for fall. I think it'll go really well with jeans and my camel OTK boots.

Also, how cute is Liam's birthday outfit?? I die every single time he wear suspenders! We went to the Denver Children's Museum that day and he had a blast being a fireman and a vet for the day. He's is such a toddler now. He's running around the house with Tommy like crazy and forever grabbing my hand to drag me to the pantry, lol.

Thank you so much for reading!

JACKET: Caslon // CAMI: BP // BOTTOMS: AG (similar here) // SHOES: Hinge (similar here and here) // SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker // BAG: Louis Vuitton (love this one!)

Hi! This was the very first outfit that I put together from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. My jacket is a great military jacket that can be dressed up with a silk ruffle blouse and heels or dressed down with booties (like how I'm wearing in today's post). My jacket looks almost exactly like this Free People one I wore last year but for a fraction of the price. (P.S. It runs big so be sure to size down 1 or 2 sizes).

TWO PIECE: Shein // SHOES: Shein // BAG: Cult Gaia // SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker

Doesn't this outfit just make you think of a warm tropical vacation?! The yellow is just so summery and bright. My siblings and I are suppose to go back to Lake Charles this month and this outfit is coming along with me. I also ordered this stripe two piece that I'm dying to try on.

Tommy came back from work yesterday and I'm so happy to have him back. We have a few things planned this weekend. My mother in law is visiting us this weekend and she signed us up for a 5k. I'm probably going to die after the first half, lol. I know Tommy is excited for her to cook some meals for us. I hope Liam feels the same way about my cooking when he's older.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
