RED FOR INDEPENDENCE DAY...

DRESS: Moon River // SHOES: Marc Fisher // BAG: Cult Gaia //

Happy Friday! Today is my day off so Liam and I are going to have a full on Mommy and mini date. If the weather permits, we're going to the zoo, picking up lunch, and watching the new release of Despicable Me 3.

4th of July is next week and it's the one of the most dressed up holidays. It's so fun to style our red, white, blue, stripes, and stars. I found this fun red dress in Houston and have been saving it for 4th of July. I don't tend to gravitate towards red but I'm going out of my comfort zones and trying new things, particularly new colors. I link several red dresses and tops that would be perfect for next week!

Tommy and I don't have any plans as on now, but we're probably going to end up cooking food and laying by the pool. What are everyone else's plans for Independence Day?

BOLD IN RED...

ROMPER: J.O.A (size up!) // SHOES: Marc Fisher // BAG: Gucci // BRACELETS: David Yurman & Kendra Scott

This weekend flew by way too fast! Tommy came home a day early and I know that Liam is thrilled to have his Dad back. Being a "single" parent for majority of June was rough. I had my sister and close friend help out, but even then, my schedule was always filled. I don't know how you single moms do it, but yall should have all the praise in the world!! We spent the past couple of days lounging around our house. A big reason for that was that we've all had this strange stomach bug. We've all had stomach aches and pain the past couple of days. Hopefully, everything will be cleared up soon.

Anyways, the romper I'm sharing today is one that I wore while I was in Houston. I'm not a big red person, but I loved that this romper looked like a dress as well. I typically wear red in the fall but pairing some wedges and neutral accessaries really gives your outfit that summery look. Oh, and I know my legs look pale, I desperately need to lay out by the pool.

Thank you so much for reading!

MINI VACATION TO DENVER...

PJ SET: Kate Spade

Happy Monday!! I've been a little MIA lately because I've been trying to settle Liam in. My sister left last Wednesday so I've been completely on my own. Being a mom, a blogger, an assistant manager, AND a student all at the same time is extremely tough! When Tommy gets back, I want to take another mini vay-cay to Denver to relieve from this overwhelming month.

When my sister was down here, we took a girls trip up to Denver. We stayed at The Crawford Hotel located in Union Station. Our room was unlike any other room I've ever stayed in, it had a lot of culture and history to it. Our room was antique, colorful, and had everything you would need to feel at home. (I was shocked that they had complimentary Voss water, lol). Our hotel was really unique, we had a center view of Union Station from our floor. We were all tired of driving so we spent a good amount of time in our room. It's obvious that Liam and I are madly in love with brunch. A piece of bacon can change lives! My friends recommended us to go get brunch at "Snooze". If yall are ever in Denver, I highly recommend eating there as well. The wait is long but totally worth it. One of the perks that comes with the hotel is that you're able to skip the wait line at Snooze so we didn't wait too long for our food. There are several amazing restaurants located right inside of Union Station. The best part about staying at The Crawford was that you could eat, drink, shop, and go sightseeing all on the first floor. The hotel even has a Tesla car service that takes you anywhere within a certain amount of miles. I was really tempted to take it, but lugging around a stroller and carseat is tough. I kid you not, EVERYTHING that we wanted to do or see was within one mile!! We went to 16th Street Mall so my sister could shop at Uniqlo, grab lunch on Larimer Square, and even went shopping at Cherry Creek. Julie and I tried to go to Little Man's Ice-cream because we heard that it's a must have dessert in Denver. We attempted to go there TWICE! The line there was always wrapped around the building. We ended up finding out that Milkbox Ice Creamery (which was located on the first floor of the hotel) carries 16 flavors of Little Man's Ice-cream. We were able to get complimentary ice-cream from them every day from the hotel. (That was probably Liam's favorite perk about staying The Crawford). The cinnamon toast crunch flavor is heavenly! We were only in Denver for the weekend but I felt as if we were there for an entire week. We were always on the go and trying new restaurants. Being located in the center of Denver really helped cut down on travel time. My sister might possibly visit us again, so another girls trip is in order.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

TROPICAL...

^Liam was trying to sneak his way into the splash pad during the shoot
DRESS: Shein (under $30) // SHOES: Steve Madden // BAG: Cult Gaia // BRACELETS: David Yurman & Kendra Scott

Happy Wednesday! It's been a few days since I've posted. I've been trying to organzie my work, blog,  and mom life. My sister flew back to Houston this morning so it's just Liam and I. I really can't wait for Tommy to be back. I haven't heard from him in about 2 weeks! Until then, Liam and I will be going on ice-cream dates and watching cartoons. We might go to Denver this Sunday with my friend Michelle since we both have the day off. I wore this dress the last time I was in Denver. The tropical print reminds me of Hawaii. Maxi dresses are so fun, easy, and summery. This one actually comes in 8 different patterns and is perfectly light weight. While we were shooting this outfit, Liam managed to get out of his stroller and sneak his way into the splash pad. He thinks he's so sneaky! The little grin he makes on his face is priceless. He's now at the point where he says "please" for everything that he wants. It's so hard to resist his sweet little face. I'm trying to plan his 2nd birthday, but its been difficult to do so without Tommy. I really want to go to Seattle, I can have all the Starbucks and Nordstrom shopping in the world, lol. What do yall recommend for a two year old's birthday party celebration? We've already been to Disney so that's not an option sadly.

FUCHSIA...

DRESS: Free People (on sale!) // SHOES: Jeffrey Campbell // EARRINGS: Kendra Scott // BAG: Gucci

Happy Friday!! Life has been extremely busy and I feel like I'm hanging by a thread. Traveling back home to Houston was a nice little break. Liam and I were all over the place! We were able to meet with all of his uncles and aunt (my best friends), grab brunch with my blogger babe, swim and relax at Golden Nugget, go to my friends baby shower, squeeze in a blog shoot with Yash, and spend time with family. We went to Houston, Lake Charles, San Antonio, San Marcus, and Tyler all in four days! I'm the type of person that loves being in the city and on the go. I think it would have been easier if I had a 5 day vacation, but it ended up working out! I miss my family and friends back in Houston. I try to travel back home every 3/4 months. The food in Houston is seriously to die for!

I wore this free people dress one day while I was in Houston. Y'all might recognize it, it's a dress that Free People continues to make every year but they change up the color. It's seriously one of my go to dresses! I also think it'll be great for summer since it's a shift dress. I love the fuchsia berry color of this one. I'm wearing an XS, the small was a little big on me but I probably could have gotten away with it. It's also on sale right now!!!! I'm debating on getting another color, lol.

IT'S ME TIME...

PJ SET: Kate Spade // SCRUB: Bikini Babe Tea

I'm back!!! After visiting 4 cities and 2 states in the past 4 days, Liam and I are finally home. We went to Houston to visit our family and friends and we were always on the go. It was tough trying to spend time with 20+ people AND  relax within a span of 4 days but we managed. I’m pretty sure I’ve gained 10 pounds from eating out in Houston so much. On top of everything we did, Liam and I some how got a shoot in! I'm pretty sure I'm either a super mom or I'm running on to much Starbucks coffee.

I’m ready to take the next couple of days off at home to relax. With life being so busy, I’ve learned how important it is to take a few hours to myself. Whether it’s a bath, time at the spa, or a day of shopping, having "me time" eases and distresses me. If I'm in a positive mood, I can be more efficient for myself and for my family. All moms deserve a little alone time to themselves! To be honest, most of my "me times" are when Liam and Tommy are asleep, lol. Majority of our days are pretty filled; during the day I take care of Liam and as soon as Tommy is off of work, we eat dinner, get ready for bed, and read to Liam. My version of relaxing is hoping in a nice warm bath with salts and sugar, applying a peel off mask, and playing reruns of Friends. When it comes to baths, I'm not the type of person that can just lay there and do nothing. I get bored extremely fast. I enjoy cleaning my face and body during my baths. I started using Bikini Babe Tea Matcha scrub on my legs and I love how hydrating it feels. It’s a natural scrub that is made up of Hibiscus Flower, Vitamin E and it's vegan! It’s so easy to scrub onto your body; add water to the salts, mix it until it's mushy, and massage away. I instantly saw results after I washed my legs. It left my legs feeling insanely smooth and shiny. I use it about twice a week and generally apply it to any areas of my body that need the extra help. I’ll take moisturizing smooth legs over dry ashy ones any day! Colorado is seriously drier than a dessert so you really have to take care of your skin over here. I would love to know what are yall's version of a perfect "me time"?!
