Happy Monday!

I'm sharing one of my favorite casual outfits of all time today; this long sleeve tee and cozy fringe scarf. I wore this outfit on a shopping date with my sister and I love how simple but stylish it was. This scarf is probably one of the most popular scarves this season. It's by far the softest coziest scarf I own and I love the pretty nude color.  (It's currently on sale for under $30!)

Can yall believe that January is almost over? This past weekend was my first weekend back home since December. Liam and I have been traveling since last month and I'm exhausted. I think I'm done with traveling for the next few months.

My husband and I have talked about me getting another job for awhile but we've been waiting for the right time. Now that Liam is a year and a half, we feel comfortable with him being at the daycare or academy during the day while I worked. Job hunting is in full swing starting today! I'm still going to blog and have daily post, blogging and fashion are my passions and I'm not going to give it up!

I hope everyone has a great start to their week!

The jet lag is real! Our sleep schedule has been so messed up the past two days, we sleep in the afternoon and are still exhausted throughout the day. We leave for Colorado soon and I haven't even begin to start packing. Today's post will be pretty straight forward and short. I wore this outfit on date night last month and got so many complements on my lace top. I'm currently wearing it with jeans and a neutral coat since it's cold. When spring rolls around, I'll opt in for denim shorts and wedges! It runs big so I'd size down.

I'll be posting a Vietnam travel guide once Liam and I get settled. I'll list the hotels we stayed at, tons of places we ate at, and everything we did during the two weeks!

CARDIGAN: Anthropologie (similar here and here) // CAMI: Topshop // JEANS: Articles of Society // SHOES: Dolce Vita // BAG: Henri Bendel // SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker

Y'all, I finally got black over the knee boots! When I first saw these at Nordstrom I about died. They fit really well, were flat, and a fraction of Stuart Weitzman OTK boots. I wouldn't even call them dupes because I love the style of this boot, not because they look like the Stuart Weitzman Lowlands. When they arrived at my house, I put together outfits so I could wear them all the time. I think I stayed up until 1 a.m seeing what I could come up with, lol. I prefer flat OTK boots verses ones with heels because they can be dressed more casually and are more comfortable. Of course, I went with an all neutral outfit. I found this cardigan at Anthropologie and it's on sale. It's not sold online anymore, but I'm certain that your local Anthro store carries it. I went to several ones in Houston and they all have at least 3/4 in each size. It's also lightweight to wear with rompers and mini dresses in the spring!

In other news, Liam is one and a half years old today!! It may not seem like a big milestone but it is. He has grown into an energetic and playful toddler. (I can't believe I just referred my baby as a toddler). He still has a fever but you wouldn't even be able to tell. He's always running around and playing with his cousins. We're leaving back to the states tomorrow night. I'm going straight to his pediatrician to get him checked up. The doctors in Vietnam told me he had an infection and gave me medication but I have baby fever phobia and want to get him checked by his normal doctor. Please continue to pray for him. I can't wait to come home.

My mom's wedding was yesterday and it was heartwarming. When my mom visited Vietnam two years ago and reconnected with her boyfriend from high school. She had plans to marry him but had to move with her entire family to america when she was around 20 years old. Thanh, my moms new husband lives in Vietnam while she lives in america. We're all hoping that he will able to to move to Texas within the next year to be with our family. I have talked to him numerous times on the phone in the past year but meeting him made it feel more real. He is kind, quiet, and very caring. My mom on the other hand is loud and tough, lol. We've been staying with Thanh and his family in Da Nang and I feel as if I have known them for years! They are the kindest people you will ever meet. They are also all in love and obsessed with Liam. He makes my mom happy and is the best grandpa to Liam. I couldn't ask for a better man for my mom.

We have about 4 days left in Vietnam. We plan to do tons of tourist stuff and check off our bucket list! If yall have visited Da Nang or Hue, I would love to hear your favorite spots!

JACKET: Free People (on sale and comes in 3 colors) // CAMI: Topshop // JEANS: AG // SHOES: Sole Society // BAG: Henri Bendel // SUNGLASSES: Karen Walkers

It's no secrets that I love military/utility jackets. My first military colored item was the classic utility vest, I wore that thing to death. I found this camo jacket this fall and it has honestly been one of my favorites, I tie it around my waist with t-shirt dresses or a white cami and a pair of jeans. I saw this ruffle jacket from Free People and thought it was so pretty and feminine. The distressed ruffles make this jacket! I have a section of random military wife items and this one is my newest addition, lol. I also wore it with a stripe dress and black over the knee boots.

We've been in Vietnam for three days and all we have done is eat. Literally, we wake up, eat, go get coffee, and eat again, lol. We're going out to explore the area in Hue tomorrow, FINALLY! I'll be sure to post pictures on my Instagram and Snapchat (anniemescall)

Thank you so much for reading!

A big Hello from Vietnam!

I landed in Vietnam on Monday and things have been hectic up to it. I didn't post as much last week because I was planning our trip, but I have tons of cute outfits and tips to share with yall this month. I decided to branch out of my comfort zone and try something a little more "sporty". Athleisure wear has been the hype for the past two seasons. Personally, I think Kendall Jenner's athleisure outfits are amazing! I love her street style and how she throws on sneakers (these superstar ones specifically) with just about anything. Turning workout clothes into a trendy fashionable attire is actually a lot easier than it looks. For example, I usually wear my sweaters with jeans and booties but I  twisted it up this time by added some adidas superstars and faux leather leggings. You could also add a bomber jacket or a neutral coat for layers.

I'm always searching for new sweaters, especially now that I live in Colorado. It's freezing from September to early May! Chicwish carries a pretty selection of sweaters and coats for reasonable prices. I'm in love with this knotted sweater, I might just have to order it. I got this beautiful dress for my friends wedding and plan on wearing it to my Mom's wedding next week. (This is the full blog post for that outfit. I love this dress too!)I love that their sweaters are trendy and different. I've shopped with them for almost 2 years now. They have my dream closet!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy New Years! I spent New Years Eve popping fireworks and going to dinner with my family. Tommy and I originally had plans to go out but we decided that we would much rather watch Liam go crazy over the fireworks. He was so so excited (and a little scared) about lighting fireworks with Tommy and his uncle and then jetting off after it started to spark. It's such a blessing to be able to spend time with family and enjoy one another. Staying in Texas has been a little stressful, but being able to spend time with our families is well worth it. My 2017 resolution is to take care of my skin and eat healthier. I've noticed that I've already started to show signs of wrinkles and it haunts me. I also plan to travel a lot this year, Liam and I are going out of the country next week for the first time! I can't wait to see what 2017 has in stores for us.

My first outfit of 2017 on my blog is one that I've worn over and over. Ever since I've moved to Colorado, I've been in love with the beautiful mountain views and snowfall. We got our first snowfall early December and it was pretty. I feel like a little girl every time it snows, it's magical every time, lol. I love the white cold snow, hot chocolate drinks, and bundling up with my family. I keep my outfit pretty basic when I plan on going outside; leggings, oversized sweater, hunter boots, and a scarf. This scarf, as I've mentioned before is one of my favorites. Its a classic scarf that has been popular for the past 3ish years?! I hope it continues to snow through this winter. Liam LOVES it!

Happy New Years!
