OUR LIFE AT HOME...

THROW BLANKET: Lands Downunder // SWEATSHIRT: ILY // JOGGERS: Gap // BOOKS: Nordstrom (most) // BATH TOWEL:  Pottery Barn

I have wanted to start writing more post on being a mother to Liam and I'm so excited to share another one with everyone today. Before I begin, I'm no expert at being a parent...I believe that being a great parent is doing your very best to ensure that your child is healthy, loved, and happy. Raising a baby is so much more than cute photos, adorable clothes, and rainbows. It's putting someone else before you, teaching him/her how to talk, crawl, and eat, and giving everything you got so that child can have the best life possible.

Most of my post with Liam are us on vacation or going out. This post is more of the reality of our life and it's my favorite. Even though I love taking Liam on trips and buying him toys and such, staying home with him is my absolute favorite thing in the world. I (and Tommy, before he deployed) try to read to Liam every day; I feel that he's trying to say some of the words now that he is older! Liam naps 3/4x a day, so it's nice to let him snuggle on me or sleep in his bed versus the stroller when we're out. I love wrapping a cozy blanket around us and snuggle or watch "Little Einsteins".(Do you Mom's ever get to that point where you can sing every song of your child's favorite show? Lol.) Snuggling with Liam is probably more for me than it is for him, I'm so attached to him. I have about a billion blankets and this Lands Downunder one is the one I use the most, it's crazy soft, lightweight, and warm.

A typical day at home for us consist of feeding, changing, playing, napping, and after about 3 messy meals...bathing! Bath time is Liam's favorite! I add Honest Bubble Bath in his tub to play with and for me to make him bubble wigs, lol. After his bath, it's bedtime...Liam actually sleeps with me since we left his crib in Colorado. It's also easier for me to feed him in the middle of the night, all I have to do is turn to breastfeed him and he falls back to sleep after a few minutes. Everything might have sounded a little like a normal stay at home mom day, but it's feels amazing and rewarding to be with your child and watch them grow.

VACATION OUTFITS WITH MINI...

ROMPER: Nordstrom // HAT: BP // SHOES: Sam Edelman // SUNNIES: Quay // Liam- SHIRT: Zara // SHORTS: Gap // HAT: Gap

Hi everyone! Here are our outfits that we wore during our getaway awhile back. This romper is currently my favorite; there is also another post with this romper in a different print, here. My Quay sunglasses aren't typically a style I would choose, but I'm so happy I took the plunge and got them. They are so fun...Quay make a lot of sunnies that are super cute and out there (love these). Let's talk about my mini's outfit...his shorts and fedora kill me! He looked so adorable in them (insert heart eye emojis), when he actually didn't throw it off, lol. I can't wait to go back next month when it's warmer!

Yesterday, Liam went to his 9 month checkup and everything went really well. He's growing on his curve, waving, (semi) crawling, and eating everything in sight. We're going big for his 1st birthday and I finally get to start the whole process going! Wish me luck, I've never planned a birthday party!

Thank you so much for reading!

PARK DAY...

TOP: Lush // SKIRT: Lush // SHOES: Skechers // SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker // BAG: Sole Society // Mini- TOP: Old // SHORTS: Gap // SHOES: Skechers

One thing that I love doing with Liam is taking him to the Discovery Green Park in Houston. It's extremely relaxing to just get some fresh air and take in the beautiful scenery. Liam loves being outside and feeling the wind hit his face (he makes the silliest face every time a big gush of wind hits him, lol)! I have to be careful around flowers because he always picks them apart, lol. These Skechers sandals are my go to shoes for days like these, they are extremely comfortable (like really comfortable!) and go well with my spring outfits. Of course, Liam had to have a matching pair like his mommy ;). A couple of Liam's shoes are really just "for looks"shoes, they're cute but not meant for walking. Once he starts taking his first steps, these will be great for him to wear because the soles are soft and flexible.

Today, we're meeting up with a few other bloggers from Houston and their babies to get brunch and I'm pretty excited! I love that this community supports one another and brings us together. Even though we've only talked on social media, I feel like I already know them! We have so many things in common it's crazy. I'll be sure to let yall know how it goes :)!

THE BEST FINDS...

TOP: Shein (wearing xs) // BOTTOMS: Nordstrom // SHOES: Thred-up (similar here) // SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker // BAG: Louis Vuitton

Nothing makes me happier than finding a cute top or some accessaries that I want on sale...like major sale! I discovered thredUP earlier this year and can't get enough of it. A little info on thredUP: it's the largest consignment and thrift store online, they carry a lot of pieces from my favorite shops like Nordstrom, J crew, Steve Madden, and Free people, and everything is up to 90% off (that's the best part)! I ordered these Steve Madden sandals (similar here for sale) awhile back for about $26! and they were new. I currently have my eyes on this Kate Spade wallet & this gorgeous lace romper. Oh, and for those asking for details on my top, here's my advice....get it! It's the perfect free people dupe, only $16, and is decent quality (7.5 out of 10). And the tie knot sleeves are my favorite.

Thank you so much for reading!

ROMPER OBSESSED...

ROMPER: Nordstrom (only $48) // SHOES: Tory Burch // SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker // BAG: Nordstrom

Happy Monday yall!

I wore this romper last week and am in love with it! I found it at Nordstrom for only $48 and I actually went back the next day to get it in another print, lol. Rompers are seriously the best things ever...they are so cute and easy to slip on.

Liam and I got back from San Antonio last night and we've been out of it. I think I might take a break from going every where this week and have a couple of days at home. My poor baby's first tooth is starting to come, so he's been hurting and acting really fussy :(. I've been giving him crushed ice pieces and his teether to help and it seems to be helping (woo hoo!). Do yall have any tricks that have helped your little ones in the past? I would love to hear them :)
